Its nice and dry so how about another further out and often muddy ride – Fostons Ash hasn’t been done for a while so let’s give it a go. Best have a drink after as we’re parking in the pub carpark though!!
Author ArchiveGuys – thoroughly enjoyed the Bisley ride so while the light evenings are with us, let’s do another ‘further afield’ ride. Meet in the Stamages lane car park in Painswick (the only car park in Painswick just off the A46 – www.streetmap.co.uk) We should be able to fit in a really good long descent into the Slad Valley which is usually a bit far out for riding from Cranham. Cheers, As suggested by Mark B, let’s do a ride starting from Stanton … plan is to reverse the ride we did last summer to avoid the steep hill from the start. Plan is to meet at 11 AM for a 2 hour-ish ride – he is travelling down from Birmingham with some friends he rides with. Although not finalised, we will either ride Bredon Hill or from Stanton – a mid point for us. So any one around and interested in joining us? cheers, Mark M Guys, I’ve decided to ‘retire’ from off-road night riding as more powerful lighting actually makes it harder for me to see (hard shadows and loss of usefulness of any ‘ambient’ light) than with my old lights – but then I was suffering ‘night blindness’ issues when around others’ lights anyway!. Really don’t think I can win (couple this with my limited skill and I’m not really enjoying it anymore) – so will make sure I keep up the cycling through the winter months and join you again Easter-ish I guess – or maybe a social beforehand! cheers, Mark M |
