Hot Singletrack

Hi all,

This coming Saturday, 3rd July 2010, I set off with a friend on a two week bike ride from Lands End to John o’ Groats.

Obviously we’re doing this for the sheer challenge but taking the opportunity to raise money for Cancer Research as we (like most people) have friends, relatives and colleagues who have been affected.

Anyone up for a loop through the woods?

I’ve been up there several times this week (on the road) and it looks nice and dry in the woods…

In case anyone is available, Tony & I will still be at Daisybank as per the original plan. Afraid I only found out this morning that I was available.
I also have some mechanical problems with my derailleur so anyone turning up might have to be even more patient that normal….

Suggestions have been made that we do a Timbercombe ride this week.

So, let’s meet at usual time at junction of Cirencester Road and Bradley Road in Charlton Kings and start with a nice, tough climb up the hill – should only take about 30 mins to get to the top and then we can start riding!

Mark B has kindly organised a meal for us all on this night. Start time of 7.30pm.

I won’t post the venue here as people were worried last time that we might be inundated with young women gatecrashing our do…. But if you’re coming along then Mark should have let you know by now. If not, please post here and we will be in touch with the secret location.
